Common Questions

What's the difference between a sliding door and a stacker door?
A sliding door has panels that slide past each other, so a two-panel door gives you roughly half the opening clear. A stacker door has panels that collect together behind one another as they slide, so a three or four-panel stacker opens a much wider section of the wall. Stackers suit large alfresco openings; sliders suit standard door openings where the extra width isn't needed.
How long will it take?
Production is typically completed within three to four weeks of your order being confirmed. Installation is usually finished in a single day, scheduled around your availability.
Can I supply my own installer?
Yes. We offer supply only as well as supply and installation, so you can use your own trades if you prefer. Builders regularly order supply only from us.
Do you make double-glazed sliding and stacker doors?
Yes. Large glazed openings are where most heat is gained and lost, so double glazing makes a noticeable difference on doors. Low-E and other glass options are available depending on your project requirements.
What colours are available?
Doors are finished in powder coat, with a wide standard colour range plus custom colours on request. Charcoal, black and monument are the most common choices we install.
Do you replace existing sliding doors?
Yes, replacement is a large part of what we do. We measure your existing opening, fabricate to suit, and remove the old door as part of the installation.
