Hinged & Entry Doors Melbourne

Hinged doors swing on side hinges like a conventional door. They give the simplest operation, the best seal of any door type, and — in entry configurations — the first impression your house makes.

Hinged doors suit you if…

  • The opening is a standard single or double door width
  • You want the simplest, most reliable operation
  • Weather sealing is a priority
  • You want a traditional French-door look in a pair
  • The door is used constantly and needs to be robust

Entry doors suit you if…

  • You want the front door to be an architectural feature
  • You're after a wide single leaf or a pivot action
  • You want a low-maintenance alternative to timber
  • The entry is exposed to weather that punishes timber

Common Questions

Is an aluminium entry door better than timber?
Aluminium won't swell, warp or need re-oiling, which matters on an exposed entry that catches sun and rain. Timber has a warmth aluminium doesn't, so it comes down to the look you want against how much maintenance you're willing to do.
What's a pivot door?
Instead of hinging at the edge, a pivot door rotates on a point set in from the edge, top and bottom. That distributes the weight differently and allows a much wider and heavier leaf than side hinges can carry.
Can hinged doors have security screens?
Yes. Hinged security doors in stainless steel mesh can be made to match, giving you ventilation with the main door open.
How long will it take?
Production is typically completed within three to four weeks of your order being confirmed. Installation is usually finished in a single day, scheduled around your availability.
Can I arrange my own installation?
Yes. We offer supply only as well as supply and installation, so you can use your own trades if you prefer. Builders regularly order supply only from us.
What colours are available?
Everything is finished in powder coat, with a wide standard colour range plus custom colours on request. Charcoal, black and monument are the most common choices we install.
