Common Questions

What does sashless actually mean?
In a sashless window the glass panels sit directly in the frame without individual surrounding sash frames, and there's no central meeting rail. The result is more glass and less aluminium in your line of sight.
Are double hung windows harder to operate?
Modern aluminium double hung windows are counterbalanced, so the sashes stay where you put them and move with light pressure. They're very different from old timber double hungs with cords and weights.
Can sashless windows be double glazed?
Yes, though the frame requirements differ from single glazing. We'll confirm what's achievable for your specific opening size when we quote.
How long will it take?
Production is typically completed within three to four weeks of your order being confirmed. Installation is usually finished in a single day, scheduled around your availability.
Can I arrange my own installation?
Yes. We offer supply only as well as supply and installation, so you can use your own trades if you prefer. Builders regularly order supply only from us.
What colours are available?
Everything is finished in powder coat, with a wide standard colour range plus custom colours on request. Charcoal, black and monument are the most common choices we install.
